Saw this on Mashable a few minutes ago, Facebook “dropping in” Twitter like functionality over the weekend with a status update page. The page shows off what you and your mates have been up to straight from your mobile! Ouch! Twitter has a fast growing userbase and with Dodgeball left for dead it seemed their ship had come in. Then Xanga cloned the idea and launched Xanga Pulse. Now with Facebook also riding the bandwagon what will become of the micro blogging phenomenon?
Browsing through Twitter I can’t really find anyone I know besides Rafiq. Compared to Facebook where everyone I know is on constantly changing their status and uploading photos. (Facebook is the biggest photo sharing site on the Web)..
This leads me to ask - How can young startups trying to innovate make it big with the giants of the social networking world cloning their ideas and stepping on their market share? Taking it even..
Xanga’s Pulse, they implemeted the functionality earlier this year
