Last night I attended the 27 Dinner hosted by Dave Duarte and Mike Stopforth (who flew in especially for the event and stayed at my place). My good friend and Wordpress guru Adii was the speaker for the night, he discussed his premium news theme business and showed us all how successful it has been. The event was held at the Wild Fig who had a space issue initially as to many geeks rocked up. I think Dave and co should print out the wiki guestlist and use that as a entry to the dinner.
The reason I go to the 27 dinner is to network. I finally met uber programmer, Charl van Niekerk, the lovely Catherine Lückhoff, Feisty Female Beverley Merriman, Gavin and Shelly Levin from Traffic Synergy, Henk from Skyrove and Kerry-Anne from Cape Town daily photo.
Later today it’s the 24.com party at their in house bar at 24 HQ - looking forward to that and will take pics.

Great idea about printing out the wiki as a guestlist. Will do for the next one.
Hell no! I normally get to the list late and have to travel far! It is usually a last minute thing for me. I guess I could simply hog up a spot everytime for just-in-case, but thats not cool IMHO. Can I apply for special treatment, please?

Pity I didn’t get a chance to chat to you at the 27 Dinner - had meant to meet you, but there were just so many fantastic people and conversations to fit into one night.
Ironic, ‘cos I just wrote a blog post last night about networking, with reference to the dinner. Ha ha.
Hopefully I’ll connect with you at the next event though.
