technomadic markets

I’m doing a small talk about building and managing social networks next week at Dave Duarte’s Technomadic Markets course at the UCT Graduate school of Business. Other speakers include big names such as Mike Stopforth, Vincent Maher, Eric Edelstein, Paul Jacobson, Tyler Reed, Alan Kent and offcourse Dave Duarte.

Nomadic Marketing is a 3-Day executive Education Course being held at the UCT Graduate School of Business from 16 to 18 April 2008. Learn how to engage a dynamic, global market online with a strategic look at new trends and technologies such as blogs, social-networks and mobile applications.

Here’s the Technomadic Marketing wrap up video from Zoopy

The course was thoroughly enjoyable, but for the quality of the speakers presented, but also for the facilitation style that Dave (Duarte) promotes.

I learned alot about the way that the new web works, but also (very importantly) about the way that people work and why they congregate and cluster the way that they do.

highly recommended for anyone who’s interested in learning more about the social network/marketing/media/computing phenominon.

This course even got me blogging:

    Hey Seagyn,
No, it is an open programme, which means the people who attend are generally not full-time students. There are a few questions you need to answer when you apply in order to gain admission. The next one is running in September, and Charl will be lecturing again if he is available to.
