I hardly ever stick to my new years resolutions but what the heck – let’s give it a try.
Here’s 15 vague guidelines I wish to follow in 2009 -
- Build a better Blueworld and Zoopedup with strong mobile plays
- Get back into Golf
- Video blog my thoughts on Tech
- Expand the Blog network and monetize better
- Spend less time online and more time outside
- Build an Adobe Air application
- Try new restaurants every other week with Jade
- Get to gym a few times a week
- Invest and save my money (I spend like crazy)
- Write more articles online and get them published
- Spend more time with my folks
- Buy a Macbook Pro and join the ‘other’ side
- Setup a daily work schedule and stick to it
- Attend more internet related events and conferences
- Travel overseas

2. What is your handicap?
Hey bud, Happy New Year and all that, hope you had a wicked holiday, mind you, you probably didn’t take much leave
Rad list indeed, I can concur on points 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 14.
As far as restaurants go, I did that during 2008, so if you need the names of any rad places, holler at me. Mac book… nooooo!
Work schedule, don’t we all hate those, hehe, I’ve perfected mine though and must admit, once you get it down, you’ll love it!
Big up
Thanks Mills
Please share with us (maybe in a post on imod) what your daily work schedule is.. ??
Love how 9 and 12 complement each other.
Seagyn – I just started not affiliated with a club yet – so no handicap. However, back when I was 15 yrs old I was on 7 handicap.
Ross – Haha..
That’s a very impressive list Charl! If you achieve even half of what’s on there you got my respect.
I have decided to not set any resolutions for 2009 because I never stick to them.
Not a bad idea bro, I’ll give it some thought. Naturally I work full time during the day, so I can’t go into too much as to how I operate things there, but in terms of what I do after work and so forth, that I could take some time in laying it out
Thanks Ash, I mailed your regarding your football site
@Chris do it !! Link me please (:
12. Buy a Macbook Pro and join the ‘other’ side
They grow up so fast *tear*
Hey Charl,
I’ve been living on the “other side” for the last 7 years and it is magnificent, not to worry about virusses, malware and what not.
Everything on “this side” is basically plug and play. I’ve got a new 20″ iMac and it is just brilliant and QUIET!
Enjoy it. Put number 12 at No. 1
Well now that you on the other side how does it feel?
I have not played golf in a while, maybe when you up in joeys we can go play a round – hopefully you have lost your touch a little!
Yup got the new Macook! Will post some pics when CORE delivers
Have also played a few rounds of rusty golf already this year
Sounds good!
Hey, I just started reading your blog and wanted to say you’re doing a great job with all your websites and innovations. I also saw that your looking to attend more internet related events and travel overseas this year. There are plenty of opportunities here in the United States as well as where I live in Los Angeles, CA. I am actually interested in traveling back to Africa myself and seeing what types of trends are growing there. I’m originally from Ethiopia and would really like to my country grow to provide more opportunities for residents in the tech world.
Keep up the good work!
